The Wheels of Progress (1999 - Facedown Records)
I don't know a lot about this release, mainly because I never could find it until a rip of it was recently sent my way online for the blog. Please comment with information on the record and I'll update the post. Stuff like: the year it was released, dates of the material compiled on the record, etc. Thanks!
Thank you Seth for the rip!

From what I know, the cd was issued in 1999 by Facedown Records. It's a collection of demo tracks and live tracks from their last show ever. It was around the time that they wanted to reform and do a new record, with new material and their old line up.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Updated.
ReplyDeletejosh, i love the site. I am looking for the Truthbeknown, Dwell Within/Winter Solstice, or Since Remembered albums... got any ideas?
ReplyDeletei own the Dwell Beneath/Winter Solstice split and can rip, scan and upload it if that's what you're talkiing about.?
ReplyDeletehey...my name is jason and i play guitar for focused...this cd is a collection of demo songs, 2 versions of the song thought and the live show which at that time was the last show ever. it was put out in 1996 on Gunshow Recordings. we also did a 3 song demo in 2000 and recently played a reunion show in august 2009 with demon hunter and living sacrifice. thanks for the continued support of the spirit filled hardcore scene. God bless.

Thanks for all the input on information about this CD. I'm sure I can speak for everyone when I say it is much appreciated. By the way, Jason confirmed the release date being 1999, he mistakenly put 1996 in his comment.
ReplyDeleteI could scan the inside cover and send it to you.
ReplyDeletex15401x yes that is what i am talking about! that would be awesome. You can send me a link in my email (just.me.brian@gmail.com) or just upload it to a URL. Whatever is easier for you. Thanks man!
ReplyDeleteBrian, here is a link to a rip of the Dwell Beneath & Winter Solstice split. Not a huge fan of this stuff, but gotta help out.

Thanks Guy for the rip.
nice post :)
ReplyDeletei just read this really good article on In the Midst of Lions in HM today. it was cool to see one of the members wearing a Venia shirt. i like it when Christian hxc bands wear other bands of brothers in the Christian hxc scene. really neat. so i am going to check out their new album "The Heart of Man". it is a concept album. i do love my concept albums :)
and i found out that Comeback Kid has a new CD coming out, like today :) they have an article on them too. it is amazing how the singer looks so different with long hair now. but i went to their site and they are still putting out great jams :D i always liked these guys, even when some of them was in Figure Four.
did you check out Venia yet, by the way?
also did you hear that Strongarm is putting Atonement onto vinyl and releasing it through Blood & Ink Records. thought you might like this news :D
ReplyDeleteyou probably already know, but doesn't hurt to tell ya if you haven't :)
I did!
ReplyDeletethe weels of progress. really nice!
ReplyDeleteFinally got an unopened copy of this a couple weeks ago from Jason of Focused. Thanks again dude!
ReplyDeletesweet. so all i gotta do is post horrible sounding mp3s on a blog to get free stuff given to me? i'm in. where do i sign up?
ReplyDeleteYeah dude, just sign up on the same sheet where you want to do something about spreading the word about this overlooked music.
ReplyDeleteThat Truthbeknown record is still available

I got "Bow" for my birthday in July of 1994. This was the first totally hardcore record I got made by Christians and was before I heard of the first Helpless comp. I still love "Bow" and after my birthday party at my mom's I had to go to my front desk job. I bought the CD and my little Bible into work with me. I liked knowing I had both of them near me.
