This blog is no longer active. My life has taken turns that have left me with no extra time or energy to devote to this blog's maintenance and the uploading of additional content. I do continue to receive and respond to comments on posts on the blog, through email, and on Facebook. I still love to listen to old Christian hardcore albums, as well as reminisce about and discuss these bands. I hope this blog continues to serve as a valuable resource on the subject, which keeps me bound to continuously replying to incoming emails with requests for downloads whose links on the blog are no longer functioning. This is no problem and I am happy to continue offering such a favor. If a link doesn't work then contact me.

All the music posted on this blog belongs to the artists. It's all on this blog for the solely to spark memories, discover Christian hardcore bands you never knew existed, and to be a reminder to go and search for and purchase these records! Please, if you enjoy any of the records featured here then try to get your hands on a physical copy. If you are associated with any band on this blog and would like me to either remove the links to downloads of your music or not be featured on this blog at all then please just email me.

Killing Years' self titled ep free download

I recently uploaded our ep online so it can be downloaded. Figured I would share it here as well. I know it isn't Christian hardcore, but we have been so influenced by Christian hardcore bands, it shines through the music. All of us in the band are believers, we just don't want to preach about it. When you disciple to others, do you jump straight to "do you accept Jesus as your one and only savior?" ? No. First, you relate. Our music deals with personal struggle, depression, anger, discontent, self loathing; and presents it in a manner that we feel touches our hearts, so why wouldn't it others'? Want to talk to about God? Talk to us individually. Want to relate to someone about everyday struggles? Listen to our music and read our lyrics.

Self Titled (2010)

The artwork for this ep is not available yet. We haven't pressed the physical copies, but plan to have them available for free at the upcoming shows.

  1. Hey,

    Thank you for this!

I think I will get the physical copy as well, if you get it out, but its cool to have this ASAP :)

What is a "Christian band" tends to be the classical debate. I guess its the same as with a lot of stuff; people define it by themselves. I mean, not all the altar call-content reaches to all people, I think, although I certainly dont want to diss that stuff.
I guess the building and taking part in a COMMUNITY with people is the key thing, especially in hardcore. We christians should be people who walk beside people (notice the Focused-reference,heh) and really be interested in them, not just their confession by mouth to give their life to God, you know?

I mean, its hard to reach people if you dont care for them for REAL. We all know Jesus does and He walked the walk. He hung out with people. He wept for Lasarus, he CARED.
I hope and pray we can at least grab a small extent to that and all we need to really be there for others.

So, there you go; my daily devotional :)

All the best man and hope you have a good week!

  2. Yeah dude, just keep in touch and I'll make sure you get a copy of the ep, as well as the new demo coming out in a month. I agree with you though. Being a TRUE disciple is nowhere near about preaching, but about relating, helping, letting others see the faith that drives you rather than hear it within dialogue. Thanks a lot man, keep in touch.

  3. KimmoPT.. very well put and very appreciated.! also.. Thanks josh been waiting for this.!!

  4. i just noticed the name of your band came from a title of a FOCUSED song. haha :) nice

the link for the Nations EP on your myspace does not work. you have to copy the link and paste it in order to work. myspace blocks you from clicking on it.

  5. Haha yeah, guess that says how much we all love that band. As for the Nations EP link on MySpace, it's annoying. Anytime I have ever received a link, sent a link, or found a link via MySpace, it always has done that. But yeah, like you said, just copy and paste the url. Maybe I'll post the link on here as well so it is a little more accessible.
